CHEM-PLAS INDIA is a Small Scale Industry promoted by Mrs.K.Saroja, a woman entrepreneur who is a matriculate and hails from an economically backward agricultural family of Karimnagar District.
Her strong desire towards starting a SSI unit at IDA Jeedimetla, R.R.District with FRP components as manufacturing line has give rise to CHEM-PLAS INDIA.
It was in 1980 that the idea of manufacturing and supplying of Fibreglass items was conceived by Proprietress as there was very limited development done in the field of Fibreglass applications. Even though the FRP Components are introduced in the Indian Market in 1960, it needed 20 years of education to withstand in the market.
The Proprietress Mrs.K.Saroja has done a thorough survey in the demand on Fibreglass items during 1980 and the situation was very encouraging. With an intention to serve Defence Organisation, she has established the today’s well recognized Small Scale Industry (CHEM-PLAS INDIA) in 1981 and planned to limit the business for Defence applications as the Fibreglass items were costly and consumer durable made of Fibreglass was costliest during that period.
But, with the encouragement extended by Defence Organisation for development of their Import Substitute items specially the RADOMES, NOSE CONES, SHELLS etc., she with a dynamic staff has captured the market in all spheres of applications like Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Electronics, Engineering and Consumer Durable including defence.
Her other novel idea of taking fresh entrants as manpower and providing implant training in the FRP Field has proved well and helped both the employees and the employer.
Now, CHEM-PLAS is an ISO Certified company for its Quality Management. After 25 years of making sustained efforts and rendering meritorious services, in the field of FRP in particular and Small Scale Industry in general, today, CHEM-PLAS was recognized as the best FRP Industry in India in Small Scale Sector.
ER. NARAYANA REDDY KATIPELLI
Er. Narayana Reddy Katipelli, born on 21 July 1948 in an agricultural family of Itkial Village in Karimnagar District (Andhra Pradesh). He had his early education in Itkial village, followed by in Raikal. He had his intermediate education (then it was PUC) in Karimnagar in 1966 with distinction.
Er. Reddy has his Professional education in Mechanical Engineering during 1966 to 71 and graduated in 1972 from Osmania University. Soon after his graduation in Mechanical Engineering, he was assigned to work in a newly started Plywood industry in Hyderabad during 1972 to 76. During this period, Er. Reddy has undergone training in Entrepreneural Development at NIESET, Hyderabad and Industrial Engineering at IIIE, Hyderabad.
He has started a Small Scale Industry in Electroplating in 1976, which was inaugurated by Sri. Y. Narayana Swamy, the then Industry Minister of Government of Andhra Pradesh, followed by Composites Industry “CHEM-PLAS INDIA” in 1981. He was instrumental in promoting two more Private Limited Companies as its Chairman and Managing Director, one “Yenplas (P) Ltd.” at Cherlapalli in 1988 and “Yenrol Lubex (P) Ltd.” at Mallapur in 1991. Later, these two companies were handed over to his cousins.
Thus, Er. Narayana Reddy, a Professional Engineer, running “Chemplas” Group of Small Scale Industries for manufacture of Fibreglass Products, Electrochemical, Plastics, Industrial Equipments and Oil and Lubricants.
By virtue of his active participation in many of the technical institutes in India and around the Globe, he was awarded Post Graduate Fellowship and affiliations from number of Institutes and Organisations.
He is recognized Charter Engineer (Mechanical) Valuer, Surveyor and Professional Engineer (Mechanical).

Er. K. Narayana Reddy is happily married to Mrs. Saroja and they are blessed with two daughters and a son. The elder daughter Kavitha, a Post Graduate, is married to a Software Engineer and the couple is now in U.S. The second child in the family, Chandra Shekar and their younger daughter Lalitha who are Engineering Graduates from Osmania University, have pursued their higher studies in MBA and MS respectively from University of Tennessee, U.S.A. and employed with suitable jobs and married and settled in USA.
